More about María Martí

María is a trained psychotherapist from Colombia who has been living in Barcelona for six years. She moved there to pursue a master’s degree in Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology for Children and Teenagers, and after three years, she decided to stay. Through various life and work experiences, María re-evaluated her professional goals and chose to study a master's in Integrative Humanistic Psychotherapy, which aligns more closely with her perspective on people and the attitudes she uses to relate to others.

María shares her life with her beautiful dog, Ona, and they both have a deep appreciation for nature, yoga, running, movies, cooking, and exploring dishes from different cultures.

In her practice, María works with teenagers and adults both online and in person. She focuses on issues such as childhood trauma, attachment trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, personal development, self-esteem, burnout, adaptation to life changes, divorce, and relationships, all from a humanistic approach. María employs various techniques and tools from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gestalt Therapy, and person-centered therapy, utilizing whatever she believes her clients can benefit from. She emphasizes creativity and allows time for emotional processing, incorporating the body into the therapeutic space while always respecting each client's pace.
