OTHER FOCUS AREAS
Hello, I’m Nathasha a Psychotherapist, Mental Health Counselor, and published author, but beyond all those titles, I’m someone who deeply values the power of human connection. My passion for helping others began early on through personal experiences and volunteer work, where I witnessed the resilience and strength of individuals with special needs. Those moments shaped my belief in people’s capacity to heal and inspired a lifelong commitment to supporting others on their journeys of growth and self-discovery.
My academic path led me from studying Psychology at the undergraduate level to earning a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and Mental Health Counseling. Over the years, I’ve developed an integrative therapeutic approach that combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, and Trauma Therapy, among others. I work with individuals navigating challenges such as stress, anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, attachment issues, PTSD, grief, emotional regulation, relationship concerns, assertiveness, self-esteem, and personal development. I see therapy as a collaborative process — one where curiosity, compassion, and evidence-based care come together to create meaningful change. I’m always eager to learn and grow, continually exploring new approaches to enhance the support I offer my clients.
Outside the therapy room, my work as a researcher and author allows me to explore the deeper threads that connect us as humans. I’ve published research on empathy, culture, emotional regulation, and aggression, and in 2023, I co-authored a book exploring parenting, childhood, and trauma across cultures. These experiences have strengthened my understanding of how our early environments shape who we become and how healing can help us reconnect with our most authentic selves. I also share my insights through workshops on empathy, communication, and building more compassionate workplaces.
Having grown up in a multicultural environment, I know firsthand how important it is to feel seen, heard, and understood. Creating a safe, warm, and culturally sensitive space lies at the heart of my practice. I believe growth flourishes when safety and curiosity coexist when we can explore our stories without judgment. I’m here not just as a therapist, but as a fellow traveler on your journey, walking alongside you with empathy, care, and curiosity as we uncover the unique landscapes of your life together.
